End of Summer Family Fun

Our days of freedom are dwindling, only 3 more days of laziness before I start internship (yikes!), Geoff starts his new job at Schneider Electric (1 mile away, woohoo), and Reese starts daycare (sniff, sniff). We've tried to make time for some fun this week though. The Smithams joined us for a nice (albeit rainy) weekend and last night we enjoyed a really fun dinner with Geoff's cousin, Greg, his wonderful wife Rose, and their four beautiful children (how cute are they!?). We're so glad we were a little part of their vacation to Ohio! Today we headed back to the Reese's beloved fountain. Reese played for a good half an hour in the water and would have stayed all day had we let him. We hope that everyone out there is doing great and that the start of the school year isn't creeping up on you quite as quickly!

The Smitham/Godfrey bunch!

He sticks his face right in...no fear!

What a friendly goat :)

Just cute

Here's our silly little man playing with his new beloved blocks (or windows as the case may be). Jen M., please note the yellow mesh shorts!!!

In case you've been having issues with leaving a comment I think I have that issue resolved, but let me know if you have more problems with it. Have a great weekend!

Fun in the Sun

Uptown Oxford has this great little park in the middle of the town square, complete with stone animals and toddler-friendly fountain. Reese was thrilled to play in the water and couldn't get enough. He ended up soaked, but it was worth every minute. I love watching our little boy have so much fun...this is the best part of motherhood.

Sharp Fellow

Just a quick update so you can see Reese's new haircut! It looks more subtle in the picture than in person...trust us, the hint of a mullet he had before is now gone :) The first picture is before, and the other two are afters!

Getting to know Oxford!

We've been spending a good amount of time checking out our neighborhood and our local parks, including the awesome Hueston Woods State Park only a few miles away. This town may be small, but we sure like it so far!

Geoff feeds a grateful deer
(someone gave us the chips, it wasn't our idea to promote such poor nutrition!)

"Outside"...he gets his point across one way or another

Perched out front of the condo

Reese strikes a common pose, clutching froggy and doggy with thumb in mouth

Back at Hueston Woods today, playing with pebbles

Summertime and the Living is Easy...

We arrived in Oxford and left for St. Louis less than a week after. It was a great holiday with the Grandma and Grandpa Redford!

The day of departure in cute jammies (from Gabriel!)

Loving his time in Nana and Papa's new pool!
